Abstract

Biomedical engineering doesn’t have to lead to a single type of career. This talk shares a nontraditional journey from art and design into engineering product and user experience design experiences in medical technology. For students preparing to enter an increasingly interdisciplinary and AI-driven industry, we’ll look at how curiosity, communication, design, experimentation and human-centered thinking can expand the possibilities of what a biomedical engineer can become. Explore the skills needed to be the maker the world needs now.
